Irish pop star Ronan Keating will make history when he performs in Cambodia next month - the concert will be the nation's first ever by a major international act. The former Boyzone singer will play to tens of thousands of fans in Phnom Penh's Olympic Stadium, as part of a three-date Asian tour, which Cambodian officials hope will boost tourism in the country. Kevin Kouch, senior producer at the Cambodian Television Network, which is sponsoring the event, says, "It's our first time (hosting a headline act). It will be a big success." GSN Orders New Series 'CAMOUFLAGE' From Disney's Buena Vista ...
GSN, the network for games, announced today that it has ordered 40 half-hour episodes of the new series, CAMOUFLAGE, an addictive hidden word puzzle and trivia game show from Disney's Buena Vista Productions. VH1 comedian brings quality humor on tour
Christian Finnegan, the recognizable face of sarcastic comedy from VH1's above mentioned all-things-pop-culture show, visits Georgia Hall tonight as part of his "Two for Flinching" tour, courtesy of the University Union. "Our mission is to bring entertainment acts to the University that appeal to the general student body and that students wouldn't otherwise have the opportunity of seeing on campus," said Union Entertainment Coordinator Matt Slotten. "We hope to appeal to the broadest range of students possible and to bring the highest quality shows to campus as we can." In the early hours of Monday, April 16 at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, a young gunman opened fire killing 32 people in what officials say is the deadliest shooting incident in United States history. Identified as Cho Seung-Hui, the 23-year-old senior, majoring in English who arrived the United States from South Korea in 1992 also pulled the trigger at his head as police officials began closing in on him. According to CNN, the gunman first entered a residence hall, West Ambler Johnston, where he shot and killed two students. Over a two-hour span Cho crossed the 2,600-acre campus where he continued his shooting rampage at the engineering building, Norris Hall. "Today the university was struck with a tragedy that we consider of monumental proportion. The university is shocked and indeed horrified," Charles Steger, Virginia Tech president said.
PM open to dialogue
New Delhi, Apr 24: Observing that the roundtable process on Kashmir is resulting in tangible measures, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today said the UPA government is committed to resolving the issue internally and externally by carrying forward the dialogue with all those concerned within the state and with Pakistan. We have reached a stage where tangible measures are now being suggested as a result of this dialogue, Dr Singh said in his opening remarks at the third roundtable on Kashmir convened by him. The roundtable discussed the reports of four of the five Working Groups set up on various issues relating to the state. The reports that came up for discussion relate to confidence building measures across segments, strengthening relations across the LoC, economic development of the state and good governance.
