JAST USA affiliate brand Peach Princess, the leading publisher of Japanese PC dating-sim games in English, announces the completion of production and immediate release of Yume Miru Kusuri :: A Drug That Makes You Dream. This interactive dating simulation game for Windows, intended for adults aged 18 and older, is the latest in Peach Princess's popular lineup of bishoujo games - games featuring beautiful women with whom the player can form meaningful relationships via choices taken throughout the story.

The game is set in a pastel-hued version of postmodern Japan, where you take the role of student Kagami Kouhei and guide his quest to find meaning and color in an otherwise lackluster existence. Along the way you interact with several girls, each exceptional in their own way, who hold out the promise of the answer you've been seeking - Aeka, the target of merciless bullying, Mizuki, the reckless student council president, and Nekoko, a strangely vital girl who insists she is a "fairy of the night".

Famous Author Kurt Vonnegut Left His Own Stamp on Capital Region

Remembering Kurt Vonnegut: the Capital Region looks back on the life of the famous author who once lived and worked in Schenectady.

The man best known for his books "Cat's Cradle" and "Slaughterhouse-Five" has died. Kurt Vonnegut died Wednesday after suffering brain injuries from a recent fall. The 84-year-old spent many years of his life working at General Electric and living in Schenectady County.

And as NEWS10's Latricia Thomas reports, Vonnegut left his own stamp on the Capital Region.

The Kurt Vonnegut that the literary world knew, authored such novels like "Slautherhouse-Five" and "Cat's Cradle." But close to 60 years ago, this is the upstate New York that the then un-known author knew.

"It had been rumored (that Vonnegut was a member) - because in the book "Slaughterhouse-Five," he mentions the Alplaus Fire Department - so he was a member," says retried Alplaus fireman, Bob Culver.

NYU's king of pop culture trivia

As he sung the Goo Goo Dolls' "Name" into the microphone, Andrew Unterberger's khaki pants and light blue T-shirt glowed in the black light of a pink-walled private room in Koreatown's Toto Karaoke. His shaggy, curly brown hair moved with him as he moved with the music, belting out the lyrics.

His friend teased him for his enthusiasm. "This is my soul talking, thank you very much," Unterberger retorted.

Unterberger, a CAS junior majoring in journalism and English, knows where most of the songs played that night landed on the music charts, and when.

"The success of this song has nothing to do with Shaggy's involvement in it," he said as he and his friends prepared to sing "It Wasn't Me." Since his childhood in Pennsylvania, Unterberger has been memorizing pop culture trivia, making lists, and spending long hours watching TV and movies, according to his mother, Alyse Unterberger.
